This dumpling consists of 2 different types of triangles.First, the isosceles triangle, where 2 sides of the triangle have equal length.

Attach the sides to the base by SS or sewing, then sew the sides shut.
The rice dumpling can absolutely be made of all equilateral triangles as the stitches are tighter and apt for amigurumi but I personally find that the equilateral triangle consumes more yarn and the stiffer and spiral look is not what I exactly go for. The darker green one is made of all equilateral triangles for your reference.
