Crochet CheongSam Key Cover

With most things going smart, I’m left with just one key that I had to bring out. So instead of a whole key pouch, I thought I would make a key cover just for it.

Collar

Attach to underside of Cover: R1 (1 stitch left from centre front)

  1. 12 SC
  2. Turn. CH 1. skip 1, 10 SC, DEC

Embroidery

  1. Begin from Collar’s starting point, SS up the side & around the collar {i added a CH-1 at the corner to create an angled collar}
  2. before moving down the dress
  3. and then around the hem
  4. SS around the sleeves opening
  5. I used single knots to mimic the fasteners about 1 stitch away from the seaming on each side.
    1. The first fastener nicely conceals the beginning of the embroidery
    2. The fasteners are about 3 rows apart

Flower

  • In MR, *CH 2, 7Puff, CH 2, SS* × 5

Tighten the MR. CH 35 for strap and SS to centre of flower to end.

My key is quite long and I didn’t want to make the cover any longer so I didn’t use a key ring but instead made a longer strap (CH 50) and attached directly to the key.
