Front & Back Panel

The formula for this bag is 2+1. For the size I made, I began with CH 35, and made 16 rows for the front panel and 25 for the back.

Side

The number of stitches for each row is:

[(squares of front panel) + (rows of front panel after folding × 2)] × 2

E.g.

(9 + 16 +9) × 2 = 68

So I began with CH 69.
