Tip: Laying out the squares and taking a photo first really prevented me from losing my way

Any method of joining is fine, I used the Surface Slip Stitch Join here which works really well with borders that are not straight.

Any manner of joining is also fine, but I like to reduce cutting & joining & weaving in, so here’s how I did mine.
A > B > C > D > A

1 > 2 > 3 > 1

1 > 2 > 3 > 1

It is more difficult to work the 2nd attachment with my arrangement so this is just how I did it.

For my next piece, I might just join the squares flat first before folding, and then join them at their matching sides (see matching coloured solid arrows)

Edge

I found the top a bit plain so I added a scallop edge
Attach yarn & start at corner, in middle of the 3 stitches (5 HDC), SS in CH-1
