Crochet When Flowers Bloom Coasters

It was time to put away the snowflake coasters, and as the new year began, spring naturally came to mind.

When Flowers Bloom - Vol. 1 grew out of that quiet shift. I wanted something floral but still practical; coasters that sit flat, feel familiar in use, and look pretty when they’re just living on the table.

This volume brings together Daisy, Sakura, and Cosmos, arranged from the most straightforward construction to slightly more involved shaping and colour work. The patterns reflect ideas I’ve explored in past work - things I’ve learned about what reads clearly, what tends to cause hesitation, and how instructions support the flow of making. Bringing them together felt like a refinement of those experiences.

They work well as individual coasters, but I especially like them as a small group on the table, quietly replacing the snowflakes as the season changes.

There are still ideas blossoming in my head, so I’m closing this set as Volume One for now; not because it feels finished, but because it feels like a good place to pause.

Daisy is shared here as a standalone pattern.
